We had not heard from our Hong Kong mold manufacturers for several weeks, which was concerning due to all the current problems in Hong Kong. The good news is they just communicated that there were problems, but they our back in operation.

Though the delays were due to common problems that many start up’s go through, which is why 85% of Kickstarter/Indiegogo campaigns are delayed:

A CNN REPORT INDICATED “Why 85% of Kickstarter's top projects shipped late”, up to 1-3 years.

We have also experienced additional unexpected delays due to the turmoil in Hong Kong.

We recognized and appreciated the 99.9 % of are backers that have offered encouragement and support, so as a token of appreciation Core 46 will be offering a discount refund of 50% to each backer 14 days after product is received. To our knowledge no other Kickstarter/Indiegogo campaign that had delays has offered such a discount concession due to delays, while still shipping the original product. We want everyone to enjoy and appreciate the science of Core 46 even though as a company we will take a loss due to the new molds and the 50% discount; we value our backers so we will always make an extra effort to make things better.

Our current staff is working 18 hour days, so we will provide updates as they are communicated by our vendors. Below is our completed and remaining mold update:

Completed

• all new engineering was completed
• Prototypes were completed
• Product was tested for durability and functionality
• Minor changes were required
• CAD ENGINEERING changes completed
• Second prototype was completed
• Testing of unit was completed
• Mold steel was ordered
• Mold computer Laser cutting
• Mold sample
• Mold adjustment
• 2nd mold sample
• Mold sample approved

Final requirements for mold

• Surface texture
• Mold polishing
• Mold will be transferred to plastic injection facility
• Mold operational testing

We hope to have specific time frames in the next few weeks, as soon as the mold manufacturer has determined were Core 46 is in their time line of several other customers, we are not their top client so we are within their lower timeline. 

Our current Core XT 46 Professional unit had also taken more time, but our current customers love the unit with less than a 1 % return rate, we now that all backers will also love the Maverick Core 46 that now will have the best quality and durability.

Hong Kong Update on prototype

               We are almost there; it always takes longer for a new start up, but we want to get it right, instead of shipping junk that will fall apart; Hong Kong has finally completed the first mold shots; we received confirmation a few days ago that it has been shipped. Once we review the unit for final approval, the molds will be prepared for manufacturing.  We had a great deal of internal difficulties to get this far, but we are going to get this unit completed and shipped.

Hong Kong Engineering delays

                        We were waiting for emails from Hong Kong on the completion of the engineering drawings, due to the protesting there have been several delays. They finished the engineering corrections a few weeks ago. The problem now is to get the unit  prototype before they cut mold steel, if the unit is not fully corrected and we cut steel than we have a permanent problem,once the metal is cut you cannot add steal back to that area. We have been told they had to slow down of operations, for lack of workers in addition to many other customers ahead of core 46. We will update as we receive communications,

Core 46 new mold update

                       We just heard back from the Mold Manufacturer, their engineers were finally able to review the minor changes, due to a significant number of other customers. They will start correcting the design drawings next week in order to prevent the slide track from sticking and clean up the blemishes, it should take a few days. The unit is very very strong with no breakage as in the first molded unit.

Maverick Core 46 first production samples

 Sorry for the delay, we received the Maverick Core 46 first production samples 6-23-19, after thorough testing all parts and resistance units, we will be sending unit back to China Monday for minor adjustments and update on surface texturing and polishing. The areas that had breakage were perfect strengthened.
